Workshops are really where all this started.
After barely sketching for more than forty years, I signed up for a weekend course in Grantchester at the beginning of 2026. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect, but somewhere over that weekend the habit returned.
Since then I’ve attended other workshops and courses, each rather different from the last. Some have changed the way I draw; others have introduced me to new materials, techniques and, inevitably, more fountain pens.
What you’ll find here
This section is simply a record of them — where I went, who taught them, what I learned and what, if anything, found its way into my own sketching afterwards.
I’m not reviewing or rating the tutors. These are just my experiences as someone learning to draw again after a very long break.
